Tend — Terms of Use

Last updated: 2026-05-28

1. No warranty

Tend is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do our best to provide accurate planting times, animal care information, and grocery price comparisons, but homesteading involves judgment, local conditions, and risk that no app can fully capture.

2. Not professional advice

Animal care recommendations, planting calendars, and feeding suggestions in Tend are general guidance from common homesteading resources. Consult a veterinarian, local extension office, or experienced mentor for decisions that affect animal welfare or your livelihood.

3. Cost comparisons are estimates

The “Cost per output” and “Year in Review” savings figures compare your tracked expenses to hardcoded US national-average grocery prices. Real prices vary 20–40% by region, store, and season. These figures are directional, not precise — don’t use them for tax, insurance, or financial reporting.

4. Schedule F export

The Schedule F-formatted CSV export maps Tend’s expense categories to typical IRS Schedule F line items. It is a starting point for your tax preparer, not tax advice. Confirm every line with a CPA or tax professional.

Tend may earn a commission when you tap a “Recommended starter gear” link and make a purchase. There is no additional cost to you. We try to recommend products that actually help, but we don’t test every item.

6. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tend and its developers are not liable for losses related to animals, crops, harvests, equipment, or financial decisions made while using the app.
